The Place

We feel there was divine intervention in finding this place, and it was sometimes difficult to let go and trust, but once we let the light guide us, everything came together quickly and easily. This process allowed us to grow and mature until we were finally, truly ready!

This magical place is 20 minutes outside of
Campeche...
( I encourage you to click on the links to learn more )

Campeche is the capital of the state of the same name. It is located on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. The city boasts many points of interest not found anywhere else in the world. Partly fortified, it's a city where, on the same day, you could feel as if you were in the heart of a small Spanish town, in Miami or in a huge Mexican mercado... Facing west, it enjoys the same kind of sunset as Accapulco! A beautiful light show on the water's edge each evening, shows an array of a thousand colors, very spectacular!! A clean, ultra-secure city, since there is no violence and discreet, friendly, non-corrupt police officers.

The social services are astonishing in a place where children have pride of place. You won't see barefoot children working for food in this city. There are superbly well-maintained parks at every kilometre, and the
Malecon, a pedestrian and bicycle path, runs the length of the sea. 6 nights a week, a Las Vegas-style spectacle of water jets, music and lights takes place. The cultural events are extremely numerous: regatta races, Jazz festival, numerous fairs of all kinds. The place is still little-known by tourists, who tend to be Europeans and Canadians. The local expat community numbers just 1,500, the majority of whom are English-speaking Canadians.

For those in need of American-style comfort, the town boasts hundreds of restaurants, 2 Walmarts, Sam's, Home Depot and more. All amenities are handy. The Cinema, which also offers VIP lounges for a lower price than a cinema ticket in Quebec, will delight you... have you ever been in a cinema which offers you a huge armchair and which reclines to a bed , while a valet brings you your pop corn? Well in Campeche, 4 out of 12 rooms at the cinema offer this bonus!!

Amenities include: International airport,
Mayan Train Station, beautifully maintained roads, bypass highway, Merida 1h45 away, Edzna Ruins, 2 casinos, large shopping mall ect.

As for the land itself, it has the advantage of being close to everything, but well hidden at the same time. It's an old piece of land that was farmed over 30 years ago. This makes this little "jungle" very breathable. You don't need a machete to get around. There are already several large, beautiful trees, and a few lucky ones may already have fruit trees. (That said, for less than 25 $ you can buy a small fruit tree already productive, and the price of all decorative trees or flowers is even lower ). There are small hills on about 30% of the land, but most of the common spaces and the family will be located on these hills, leaving the flat land to the buyers. The earth has a
cenote, which the community can enjoy. There are no swamps on the land, and the water depths average 30 feet (10 meters), but you may be lucky enough to find a cenote hole on your lot!

The land is located between 2 public beaches 15 minutes apart: Playa Bonita and Seybaplaya. However, it will not be necessary to go there to gain access to water, since the land will quickly house our own beach club for our residents only, and it will be available only 2 km from the land on the other side of the road. You'll be able to fish, land your boat, kayak, windsurf and enjoy all water sports. The best part? This seaside does not receive
Sargassos , the water is very calm ( no big waves, perfection for the safety of the youngest ), it isshallow ( you can go really far and have your feet on the sand still) and we will have the grace to be in the middle of magnificent nature, with sporadic visits from manatees, sea turtles and in season the phenomenon of Bioluminescence.

10 minutes away, a country club and a marina are found. The most prosperous have chosen the same side of town as us. Mexico's richest man, the 7th richest in the world, Carlos Slim, chose Campeche for his family's security. Being close to great prosperity, even if we don't get involved, can guarantee us a certain freedom of movement... As proof during covid, the measures in Campeche remained...optional.... * Some remember Ste-Adèle? * Despite these facts, the cost of living in Campeche remains lower than in Rivièra Maya.
